Visit the Historic Garden

Step inside one of Britain’s oldest and largest walled kitchen gardens. At nearly eight acres, the Walled Garden is both a peaceful retreat and a working landscape, brimming with seasonal fruit, vegetables, herbs, and over 60 varieties of flowers. Lovingly restored to its former glory, the garden is as beautiful as it is productive.

Fishing on the River Spey

The River Spey is world-famous for salmon fishing, and Gordon Castle offers some of its finest beats. Our Fishing experiences are open to both seasoned anglers and beginners, with expert advice available every step of the way.

Accessibility

Gordon Castle Walled Garden is largely wheelchair accessible. All our entrances and exits have wide set doors, and our Walled Garden shop has a ramp for disabled access. The car park, café, garden, shop, play-area, potting shed, and toilets are all on one level with plenty of space to move around. We have 1 disabled toilet located inside the café as you enter The Walled Garden to the right. We have clearly stated disabled parking spaces in our car park, close to the entrance. We also have a wheelchair available for use around the grounds, please ask a member of staff if you wish to use this on your visit.

EV Charging

We are happy to share that we have recently installed EV charging points to our Walled Garden carpark for your convenience. These are available on a pay-as-you-go basis and are exclusively for Gordon Castle visitors.

VoltShare charging points are designed to charge all types of modern electric cars. The connection is tethered, type 2, with maximum power output of 7.2kW.
