Flowers & Wreaths

Four dedicated, colour coordinated cut flower beds stand in the centre of the walled garden, overflowing with over 60 varieties of annual and perennial plants chosen for their qualities as cut flowers. Scabious, cornflower, echinacea, dahlia, gladioli, salvia and 7 different varieties of sweet peas and over 3000 tulip bulbs start off the season in spring.

Flowers and foliage grown in our garden are available for small weddings, funerals, and for florists. To receive a flower price list or discuss options, please complete the form below to get in touch with our gardening team. We also create beautiful hand-tied bouquets, dried flower arrangements, and wreaths; these are available seasonally from our produce shed, or upon request.

In addition, we host year-round gardening events, including sessions on growing your own cut flower garden, as well as classes such as wreath making and flower arranging. Browse our upcoming events here.

Fruit & Vegetables

We grow over 200 different varieties of vegetable from seed every year; carrots, beetroot, pumpkins, squash, cabbages, kale, potatoes, peas and beans, you name it we grow it along with perennial crops such as asparagus and globe artichokes.

We have 250 mature fruit trees and almost 400 more have been planted as standard trees, step-overs and espaliers. We grow over 60 different types of apple, 25 or which are Scottish varieties. Pears are grown on tunnels. Apricots, figs and peaches and plums (including our very own ‘Gordon Castle’ plum), 50 fruiting cherry trees. Raspberries, gooseberries, strawberries, blackcurrants, blueberries and many more. We grow over 60 different varieties of apple, 25 or which are Scottish.

Fruit and vegetables can be purchased seasonally from our produce shed when available.
