A wedding at Gordon Castle is truly unique. Set within the private estate on the River Spey, the castle and its grounds offer romance, history and timeless elegance, ready to be styled to reflect your own vision. Our role is not only to host your wedding day, but to help you create unforgettable memories to treasure.
We welcome celebrations of all sizes, from intimate gatherings of 40 to large weddings of up to 250 guests. Every wedding is tailor-made with the guidance of our Events Team, giving you access to some of Scotland’s finest wedding suppliers.
Ceremonies Your Way
Your ceremony should reflect who you are as a couple. In Scotland, religious or belief ceremonies can take place in any location agreed with your celebrant.
For indoor ceremonies, the light-filled Orangery seats up to 90 guests, while the Castle’s Drawing Room offers a beautifully intimate setting for up to 40 guests. Outdoor ceremonies can be held on the Castle lawn during the warmer months.
For larger celebrations, Tower Hall is our restored wedding venue beside the Castle itself. It can host up to 250 guests for both ceremony and reception and provides a versatile blank canvas to bring your style to life.
If you prefer a traditional church ceremony, Bellie Kirk, St Mary’s Church and Gordon Chapel are all located close by in the heart of Fochabers.

Your Vows. Your Way
No two wedding ceremonies are the same and we completely respect that. In Scottish law, a religious or belief ceremony can be held anywhere agreed by the couple and the approved celebrant.
For indoor ceremonies, our Orangery provides the perfect backdrop for up to 90 guests. The castle itself can hold up to 40 guests for a romantic ceremony by the fire, ideal for the colder months. For outside ceremonies, couples have chosen to marry on the front lawn of the Castle in our warmer months.
Tower Hall – a restored wedding venue attached to the castle’s historic tower. This space can take up to 250 guests for the ceremony and reception and is a blank canvas for you to put your own stamp on. Situated adjacent to the exclusive use castle it is perfect for keeping close family and friends nearby.
For those preferring a religious ceremony the Bellie Kirk (Church of Scotland), St Mary’s Church (Roman Catholic) and the Castle’s own Gordon Chapel (Episcopalian) with its beautiful stained glass windows, are all close by in the Georgian centre of Fochabers.

Tower Hall
Attached to the castle’s historic tower, this newly-restored space features a glass-domed roof and can accommodate up to 250 guests for ceremony and reception.
Orangery
A beautifully light indoor ceremony option for up to 90 guests, perfectly blending nature and architecture.
Outdoor options
From the castle’s front lawn to the eight-acre Walled Garden, outdoor ceremonies are beautifully supported (weather-permitting, of course!)
Accommodation on site
The castle sleeps up to 18 in exclusive-use, plus +36 more in estate cottages—ideal for keeping friends & family close.
