Children

The Gordon Castle natural play area has been designed to encourage children, from a young age, to begin exploring and understanding their natural environment. The space was  created almost entirely from reclaimed Estate materials; stone from the Castle walls, storm blown logs, gravel and rocks from the quarry pit and plants grown in the garden. The project was a combined staff effort to dig, gather, plant and plow the natural playground into shape, all under the expertise and experience of Timberplay Scotland.

£3.00 (Nov 2025 – April 2026) per child

£5.50 (May – Oct 2026) per child

Supervising adults and babies up to 12 months go free.

We have just launched our seasonal children’s trails which will run all year round and are free with garden entry or with children’s play entry. Pick your trail up in our shop or cafe and meet lots of new friends in the garden!
